妙高市スキー場協議会から次のとおり連絡がありましたので、お知らせします。
◎妙高市スキー場協議会からのお知らせ
このたび、スキー場管理区域外（バックカントリー）において、滑走に伴う雪崩が発生し、一時的に道路が通行止めになりました。幸い重大な被害には至りませんでしたが、バックカントリーは雪崩、滑落、立木衝突、道迷いなど重大な人身事故につながる危険なエリアです。スキー場の管理区域外は、各スキー場の安全管理やパトロールの対象外であり、自然雪崩の管理も行っていません。救助が必要となった場合も、対応には時間を要し、救助者にも危険が伴います。ついては以下の点に十分注意し、安全なルールのもとで、妙高のウィンタースポーツをお楽しみください。

●立入禁止区域には絶対に入らないでください。
●管理区域外での事故について、スキー場では一切責任は負いません。
●管理区域外での捜索・救助費は関係機関が定める実費が請求されます。
●スキー場のルールやパトロール、標識、警告に従ってください。

Backcountry Safety Notice (Outside Resort Boundaries)
Recently, an avalanche occurred in terrain outside the ski resort’s managed area (backcountry), temporarily resulting in road closures. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
Please be aware that backcountry areas can be extremely dangerous. Hazards include avalanches, falls, collisions with trees, and the risk of becoming lost.
Terrain outside resort boundaries is not monitored or controlled by ski patrol, and avalanche control is not conducted. If an accident occurs, rescue may take significant time, and rescue personnel may also be exposed to danger.
We ask all guests to fully understand these risks and enjoy winter sports in Myoko safely and responsibly.
Important Reminders
* Do not enter restricted or closed areas.
* The ski resort is not responsible for accidents outside managed areas.
* Search and rescue costs outside resort boundaries may be charged to the individual, as determined by authorities.
* Please follow all resort rules, patrol guidance, warning signs, and notices.
